A forest becomes heathland. Four phases local residents could see.
Along the Maaslijn railway at the Mulderskop, a strip of forest is turned into heathland. We showed what happens, from today to full bloom.
The brief
Along the Maaslijn railway at the Mulderskop, a strip of forest is being turned into heathland. Bureau Verbeek and Swietelsky Rail wanted to show local residents what happens to their forest in four phases, from today's forest edge to heather in bloom.

Then: scanned and in 3D
We flew and photographed the strip ourselves and built the surroundings with Gaussian Splatting. Twelve phase images and two of the bridge, honest down to the forest edge. The client wanted that edge exactly as it will be: dead straight.
Now: with AI in the pipeline
The AI layer turns a scale model into a place you want to walk, without changing the phase: the bare sand slope of phase 1 stays bare, the heather only blooms in phase 3. That keeps a public engagement image honest and still inviting.

“I have no more comments on the visualisations.”
