Knowledge base · from our own projects
The Real Knowledge Base.
Practical knowledge about 3D configurators, real-time rendering and digital product presentation. Written by the people who build them, with real prices, lead times and technical specifications. No marketing stories. What works, what it costs and when it does not pay off.
Why this knowledge base exists
Anyone looking up what a 3D configurator costs mainly finds English-language overviews with ranges from ten to a hundred thousand dollars and no substantiation at all. That is no use when you have an investment decision to make.
THE REAL MAG. builds these things itself, every day, for manufacturers and retailers. That means we can write down what a component really costs, how long it takes and where projects get stuck in practice. That is the only reason we add anything here.
How we write here
Every article opens with the answer, not with an introduction. Every figure is traceable to a source, and that source is listed at the foot of the article. Where we have not measured something, we say so instead of presenting an estimate as fact.
We only write about subjects in which we have demonstrable hands-on experience. On generic subjects where we have nothing to add, we stay silent. That saves you reading time and us credibility.
Is there something here you believe is wrong, or a subject missing? Let us know at [email protected]. We process corrections and credit them.
